As the final #inktober2018 drawing #uub was chosen, the final replacement for #goku who was supposed to take over if they decided to come back to the story and the reincarnation of the strongest rival in the original #dragonball manga and the end of #dragonballz … an interestingly designed character but again, truly a shame that the newer canon barely mentions him… now on to draw my own stuff and probably color a few of these … #inktoberday31 #fanart
#inktoberday30 brings the youngest member of the Brief family and the youngest child of #vegeta and #bulma … #bra or #bulla or #bura as she was named to avoid the main point of the underwear related puns that runs on #bulma ‘s family … that said she was also a character that a lot of people though was older than #pan … even within the animation studio that worked on the several #dragonball sagas up until recently. Still fun to see #vegeta being a more dotting dad than #goku … #inktober2018 #fanart
#inktoberday29 is for #pan as in #gohan and #videl ‘s daughter whose name is the word for “bread” both in Japanese and Spanish. She was at the tail end of the #dragonball story, at least originally… canon can be a weird thing #fanart #inktober2018
#inktoberday28 brings out one of the most well known nicknames of many Spanish speaking countries… #majinbuu #majinboo #mrbuu #goodbuu … a nickname for whenever an overweight pale kid comes around and is in the receiving end of the jokes, alas it is not hurtful if it is done as an endearing term… anyways, he is deceivingly complicated to draw. As odd as it sounds this is my first time drawing many of these characters and I am finding out as I go along that sensei #toriyama is truly a master of design as some of these may look simple but have enough distinctive characteristics that make them difficult to keep constant. #fanart #inktober2018
Today for #inktoberday27 I wasn’t sure whether to pick #chibitrunks or #futuretrunks it was either his toddler design or his first appearance because i find his preteen design a bit overused… so I went with the most popular. He is the first child of #bulma and #vegeta and the end of many jokes in #dragonballzabridged I am almost at the end of the month I have to admit I have learned a lot and got plenty of extremely helpful advice when I go back to do my own stuff. #fanart #inktober2018
#goten is my #inktoberday26 subject and he is the second son of the main protagonist and the second attempt to pass along the title of main protagonist… I only wish he finally grow up little to have a newer design
#inktoberday25 is #videl ‘s turn. Daughter to #mrsatan and eventual wife of #gohan and mother to #pan her name is a pun of the rearrangement of the syllables in the Japanese spelling of the word “DeViL” following the theme started by her father’s stage name… #fanart #inktober2018
Today for #inktoberday24 as another early #inktober2018 drawing we have the one and only #MrSatan also known in some regions as #HerculeSatan and of course with one of sensei Toriyama’s after-the-fact reveals that is name is #Mark which can be read as “MaAku” which can be arranged in Japanese to read #AkuMa which means Devil… which later on will have a meaning. He was written as a joke character based on the flamboyant mannerisms of pro wrestlers just like the #supaaman character in his other work #drslump
On #inktoberday23 it is #cell ‘s turn… originally intended to be the antagonist to finish the series for the third time but once again, sensei #toriyama was asked to continue after this saga was over. I read once that one of the author’s biggest design regret was to include the dotted details in his appearance and now that I have drawn him for the first time I can see why. #fanart #inktober2018
